Black Bears and Semper Anticus qualified for the championship match of the Apsley Cup, following their respective wins in the semifinals, played on Wednesday June 22 and Thursday June 23. One of the most important tournaments hosted by Cirencester Park Polo Club, the Apsley Cup sees four teams up to 18 goals, compete. Black Bears, the recent winners of the Costwold Airport Warwickshire Cup, secured their spot in the final by defeating Ojo Caliente 10-8 on Wednesday, while Semper Anticus made an impressive comeback in the last chukka to earn a 10-9 win, on Thursday. Therefore, they will battle out on Saturday for the title.
