The 2021 Sir Winston Churchill Cup came to an end at Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club. The tournament saw four teams, up to 10 goals, compete. Hesketh/Mahra and UAE played the Subsidiary final, while Bin Drai and Habtoor Polo battled it out for the title.

In the Subsidiary final, Hesketh/Mahra got off to a better start, securing a 2-1 lead by half time. UAE made a comeback in the last chukka thanks to goals scored by HH Sheikha Maitha, but the scoreboard remained 3-all until Hesketh/Mahra scored the winning goal to take the 4-3 win.

Next, in the Sir Winston Churchill Cup final, Bin Drai scored the first goal as Raúl Laplacette found the posts, but from the second chukka onwards, Habtoor Polo were on point defensively, managing to hold their contenders back until Justo Cuitiño scored to tie the game 1-1. However, Bin Drai overwhelmed Habtoor Polo in the last chukka, outscoring them 3-1 to seal the 4-1 victory. Bin Drai not only claimed the trophy, but managed to remain undefeated throughout the tournament.

Martin Pedersen, Chairman of International Free Zone Authority – Official Season Sponsor of Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club – awarded prizes to the teams of the day.
