On Friday August 7, Ayala and Essso (League 2) claimed their second consecutive wins in the Copa de Plata Terralpa (high goal) and secure their respective spots in the tournament’s semifinals. Ayala and Essso defeated Dos Lunas IQ and La Dolfina Marqués de Riscal, respectively, and are the first teams in semifinals. Therefore, with a 2-0 record each and their place in the next phase already set, the matchups and the final standings will be determined in the last qualification day.

In the meantime, League 1 is red hot; nothing’s settled yet. All the teams have a 1-1 record and they are eligible to play sort of quarter finals in the last qualification day. The winner of each clash will advance to semifinals. The matchups are Sainte Mesme vs. Amanara and Dubai vs. Brunei.

Friday also saw medium goal and low goal action, with John Smith and Vamos Korea victorious, respectively.

The 55th. Torneo Internacional de Polo ATL will resume on Saturday August 9, with two low goal games and one medium goal contest.
