Ankora Lamar defeated Ghantoot by an impressive 10-6-5, and captured the 12-goal Emirates Polo Championship International, following the final that took  place at Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on Sunday February 1. Both lineups reached the decisive match undefeated.

 

Ankora Lamar, with Baltazar Jauretche subing in for Mohammed Bin Drai (injured in the semifinals), took a quick lead in the first chukka over Ghantoot; from then onwards, they seized the reins and, led by MVP, José Riglos, they managed to maintain the advantage thoroghout the four chukkas of play. At the end of the day, Ankora Lamar were victorious, and clinched one of the most important 12-goal tournaments of the Middle East.
