The Coupe d’Or will have a fabulous all-French championship match. In the last league game, played on Thursday August 25, the undefeated Brittany claimed a 9-8 win over Barriere and qualified to the final. Jean-Francois Decaux and his boys will battle for the coveted golden trophy against Edouard Carmignac’s foursome, Talandracas, who had already defeated Los Dragones on Wednesday August 24. Therefore, Deauville will see the clash of two of the most powerful polo organisations in France, that will go head-to-head for one of the most historical and traditional trophies of polo.

It is worth noting that the final will be a rematch – Brittany and Talandracas already met in the league stage on August 11 with Brittany emerging victorious; in fact, that was the only loss for Talandracas thorogout the tournament. So it will be indeed a very much expected final; whether Brittany finish the Coupe d’Or unbeaten, whether Talandracas claim the rematch.

The Coupe d’Or, established in 1950, is the most important tournament of the prestigious Barriere Deauville Polo Cup at Deauville International Polo Club, set in Normandy, Northwest France.

The final of the Coupe d’Or, due on Sunday August 28, WILL BE STREAMED LIVE ON POLOLINE TV.
