The Queen’s Cup, the premier tournament hosted by Guards Polo Club, set in Windsor Great Park, England, had a full packed action weekend, that took place through Saturday June 3 and Sunday June 4, with  Marqués de Riscal, Park Place, Twelve Oaks, Murus Sanctus and La Magdeleine victorious. The 2023 edition of the prestigious Queen’s Cup sees seventeen teams up to 22 goals, in participation.

 

On Saturday June 3, Marqués de Riscal claimed their first win over Clinova by a 11-9 score. Later, Park Place beat Monterosso 12-10. On the following day, Sunday June 4, Twelve Oaks earned a narrow 9-8 victory over Vikings;  Murus Sanctus, still unbeaten and already with their sights on the quarter finals, defeated BP Polo (received three goals on hancap) 15-10; and last but not least, La Magdeleine beat Sujan Indian Tigers 10-8.

 

SATURDAY JUNE 3

The Queen’s Cup steps into the last qualification stage, which will run through Monday June 7 to Wednesday June 7, prior to the quarter finals, due on Saturday June 10 and Sunday June 11. The order of play for Monday June 5, is the following:  

 

12pm: UAE Polo vs. Park Place Vaara (The Duke’s Ground)

3pm: Black Bears vs. Scone  (The Duke’s Ground)

 

The final of The Queen’s Cup is set to be played on Sunday June 18.
