The 129th. Argentine Open is stepping into the final countdown, with the last league matches prior to the league deciders, that will led to the two spots to the much anticipated championship match. Action at the Cathedral will resume on Saturday November 19 and Sunday November 20, with two matches each day and some changes as well. The Argentine Open, the most important polo tournament in the world and the hightlight of the Argentine season, sees ten teams up to 39 goals in participation.

 

Two La Irenita lineups will clash in the opening match on Saturday November 19, at 2pm: La Irenita Grand Champions vs. La Irenita GSquared. But the follow-up will be the match of the day will be without hesitation. La Natividad will go head-to-head with La Ensenada Murus Sanctus, in a contest that’s expected to be tough and hard fought. Although the current reigning champions, La Natividad, have already secured their league decider against La Irenita Grand Champions, after they swept La Irenita GSquared and La Hache in their previous games, La Ensenada RS Murus Sanctus do need a win to maintain the hopes. The contest will have a couple of lineup changes. La Natividad won’t have Nachi du Plessis, due to and injury, and he will be subbed in by Alfredo Cappella. Meanwhile, Jerónimo del Carril, has been suspended after receiving a red card in the last match against La Irenita Grand Champions, and his place will be taken by Matías Torres Zavaleta.

 

On Sunday November 20, La Dolfina Saudi will face La Irenita Clinova, at 2pm; La Dolfina Saudi will have Pedro Zacharias once again, subbing in for the injured Pelón Stirling. It will be followed by Ellerstina vs. Cría La Dolfina at 4,30pm.
