Ferne Park made history again, and reached the semifinals of the St. Regis Cowdray Gold Cup for the second consecutive year, following a game that had a great deal of drama. After a very balanced contest, that saw Ferne Park behind most of the time, everything ended in an extra chukka, when Facundo Pieres converted a 30-yards penalty. Now, Ferne Park will clash against Dubai in semifinals.

 

After such a dramatic win, Facundo Pieres, Ferne Park’s captain and back, spoke to PoloLine. He highlighted the efforts to overturn such a tough match, in which the team didn’t respond as they expected, and the crucial part played by the state of the grounds.

 

Moreover, the six times winner of the St. Regis Cowdray Gold Cup, talked about his horse string, and the help he got to recover from the loss of nine horses. Last but not least, he spoke about his feelings of being back to a semifinal after a three years absence and clashing against a tough contender.
