Bartolomé Castagnola has left his mark on every polo field he has played on, and he continues to do so. Seven time Argentine Open champion, he was also lucky enough to win the República Argentina Cup alongside his two sons, Bartolito and Camilo, with the family’s prestigious polo organisation, La Natividad, which boasts an outstanding infrastructure in Argentina.

Castagnola was rated at 10-goals and has won practically every high goal tournament around the world. He has always been, and still is, one of the most entertaining characters in the sport, amusing journalists and spectators alike with his direct comments.

In this unmissable interview, Lolo Castagnola talks to POLOLINE about the current state of polo, but he also shares a more intimate side of himself. Here are some of the best bits from Part One.
