Essso is making their first steps in high goal in Sotogrande. Although they’ve had strong bonds with the sport for several years, it’s the first time they play the Copa de Plata Terralpa (high goal). They didn’t do good in the previous tournament, the Copa de Bronce, but things worked for better in the following competition, with two consecutive wins over Dos Lunas IQ and La Dolfina Marqués de Riscal, that secured the lineup a spot in the semifinals.
Following their recent victory, on Friday August 7, Essso’s captain, Guillermo “Sapo” Caset spoke to PoloLine, and remarked about the good vibes within the organisation and what they had to do in order to improve their performance in the current tournament. He also said he is happy for Ian Galliane, as well as his feelings about playing in Sotogrande, every time he is able to.
