With less than 24 hours to go for the much anticipated final of the St. Regis Cowdray Gold Cup, one thing is for sure – a member of the Heguy tribe will lift the coveted golden trophy. On one side, Dubai, six times winner of the competition, with Antonio Heguy, and on the other side, newcomers, Gaston, with his cousin, Cruz.

PoloLine met up with Antonio Heguy, one of Dubai’s most oustanding players and a winner of the tournament in 2024 with the Middle East-based organisation. The son of the legendary Pepe Heguy, remarked the top level of the team that also claimed a spot in the semifinals of the Queen’s Cup; his spoke about his best mares, the clash against his cousin, Cruz, and the joy that brings to the great family of polo, the Heguys, to have already secured a champion of the most important tournament in England.
