The St. Regis Cowdray Gold Cup is slowly approaching to the quarter finals, with many teams aiming at the tournament’s next stage. The most interesting clash that was played on Monday July 6 was La Dolfina Marqués de Riscal vs. Jindal La Dolfina, with Adolfo Cambiaso in the former and his son, Poroto, in the latter.
The match was played on The Queen’s Ground, at Guards Polo Club; if Poroto’s lineup were victorious, they would have been on the edge to qualify to quarters. But if Adolfo’s team were the winners, the League not only remained still uncertain but it would send La Hechicera to the next phase.
At the end of the day, Jindal La Dolfina won, and maintain their hopes alive to step into the quarter finals – in order to achieve that, they need to beat Sujan Indian Tigers in their last league game, and depend on other results.
Adolfo Cambiaso caught up with PoloLine. A nine times winner of the British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup, he remarked the level of play during the tournament; he also spoke about his bond with Naveel Jindal, he gave his opinion on one of the most controversial rule, and revealed where is his dream destination to play polo.
