As part of the celebrations of the Centenary of the Royal Pahang Polo Club, in Malaysia, PoloLine had the unique opportunity to speak to HRH Sultan Abdullah Ahmad Shah, one of the crucial personalities of Pahang polo history as well as an expert of the sport. In an exclusive interview, the Sultan reviewed many moments of his life in polo, from his first steps to his vision of the present and future.

On that aspect, the Sultan highligted the importance of maintaing the values and traditions that made Royal Pahang Polo Club a centenary institution, that never looks back; the aim is bring new opportunities for the development of polo.

 

Therefore, the celebration of the 100th. anniversary of the Roya Pahang Polo Club was marked by a special event, the Centenary Cup, a tournament hosted to conmemorate this anniversary, that saw a large number of participants who were up to the club’s history. But it was much more than a competition – it was a meeting of tradition, sport, culture, and the way to set the path to the future.
