The Polo Club du Domaine de Chantilly is getting ready for a new edition of the Open De France, the country’s most significant contest. The prestigious tournament will feature some of the biggest names of the sport to play the competition, that will see sixteen teams up to 16 goals, partake, will run through September 3 to September 20.
Among those who are expected to take part of the Open de France are Kazak (Sébastien Aguettant, Pedro Chavanne, Leon Donoso and Teodoro Lacau), as well as Power Infrastructure (Miguel Mendoza, Jack Coventry, Santiago Laborde and Alejandro Muzzio).
Octogone Polo Team (Alexis Morange, Hazel Jackson, Louis Hine and David Stirling); Tédélou (Isabelle Larenaudie, Bautista Fanelli, Juan Gris Zavaleta and Simon Zavaleta); Arho (Germán Coppel, Blas Bensadon, Pablo Llorente and Pierre-Henri Ngoumou); La Esperanza (Jean-Édouard Mazery, Ramiro Zavaleta, Juan Ruiz Guiñazú and Juan Pedro Chavanne); and Clinova (Raja Karim, Milo Mac Donough, Felix Carlos Esain and Alfredo Cappella), complete League A.
Some remarkable names are within League B – Akasha (Alexandre Garese, Ciro Urturi, Facundo F. Llorente and Tomas Beresford); Essso (Ian Gallienne, Patricio Gaynor Benoit, Guillermo Caset and Javier Guerrero); Talandracas (Hugues Carmignac, Gonzalo Ferrari, Juan Martin Zubia and Edouard Carmignac). It’s worth noticing that Talandracas has Santiago Gaztambide and Bartolome Gaztambide as substitutes).
The league is completed with Sainte-Mesme (Fermín Mc Donough, Robert Strom, Dante Castagnola and Clemente Zavaleta); Jolly Roger King of Polo (Manuel Plaza de Ayala, Nicolas Tomasevich, Alfredo Bigatti and Niclas Johansson); and Eternal J (Jean-Claude Le Grand, Louis Jarrige, Guillermo Terrera and Julien Reynes).
With the lineups already set, the Open de France begins the final countdown towards a remarkable event, that will see Chantilly as the epicenter of polo in Europe once again, with a tournament that promises skills, experience and new players, in search for one of the most coveted titles of European polo.
