In the United States, more specifically in Wellington, the polo season is experienced intensely during the winter months in that part of the world. The Gauntlet of Polo, the Wellington Polo Tour, and the tournaments at Grand Champions usually steal the spotlight, but in 2026 a new club emerged as host of several competitions: PLYRS Polo Club.

The new club in the area, led by Minuto Siete, organized eight successful tournaments, where players from all over the world took part. After the conclusion of the last one, the Centennial Cup, Manuel Cereceda—founder of Minuto Siete—spoke with Pololine. In the interview, he highlighted the overall assessment of this first season at PLYRS, the organization’s goals for the year, his outlook for 2026 in Sotogrande, and what he foresees for the Argentine spring season.
