The international polo calendar is in full swing, with plenty of tournaments being played in the United States and the Middle East. The World Polo Tour, the international ranking of polo, has unveiled the MVPs of January.

Adolfo Cambiaso, who is currently in AlUla, Saudi Arabia, still tops the rankings, with 838 points, followed by Polito Pieres (818) and Facundo Pieres (692). Completing the Top 5 are Barto Castagnola and Gonzalo Pieres Jr, with 663 points and 648 points, respectively.

There’s no question January’s MVP Pro – that honour to the talented, young Argentine Bautista Bayugar, recent winner of the Bentley Emirates Silver Cup, and one of the best players of the tournament. Bayugar, who is playing for Habtoor, was also named MVP of the final. He jumped from 126th position to 76th.

In terms of the Amateurs, Mohammed Al Habtoor is Januray’s MVP. His remarkable win in the Bentley Emirates Silver Cup allowed him to step into the Amateur Top 10 – rising from 17th to 8th place.

Sheikha Alia was chosen as Pick of the Month, thanks to her great performances playing both with her team, AM Polo, and in UAE, as a replacement for Sheikha Maitha.
