The season in Sotogrande, continues in full swing. A new tournament, the Open de España, commenced on Wednesday June 19, at Ayala Polo Club. The Open de España is the most important contest of the spring season hosted by the club located in the South of Spain. The tournament is split in two levels – low goal (eight teams between 6 and 8 goals) and medium goal (three teams between 10 and 12 goals).

The finals for both levels are due on Sunday June 29.

The opening day saw low goal action, and the results are the following:

1896 Adrenalina 11-9 Dany’s Polo

Delta Defense 10-6.5 Kan/Mor Polo

La Margarita 10-9 Hanuman

Meanwhile, medium goal will commence on Friday June 20, with a single match between Dos Lunas and Whizmo Polo. The next medium goal matchdate will be played on Tuesday June 24.
