A new edition of The Queen’s Cup, Guards Polo Club’s premier tournament and one of the most coveted polo trophies worldwide, is due to start on Tuesday May 21 with a double matchday.

The 2019 edition of the Queen’s Cup, played since 1960 to honor Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II – who presents the trophy to the winners each year – will showcase twelve teams up to 22 goals, including title holders, Michael Bickford’s La Indiana, in a lineup that features the comeback of a very successful duo, Facundo Pieres-Rodrigo Ribeiro de Andrade, both of them winners of the Queen’s Cup with Zacara, in 2013. Other attraction will be the comeback of VS King Power, after a year absence of English high goal.

The opening day will have the following order of play:

12pm: Park Place vs. Monterosso (Flemish Farm The Castle Ground)

3pm: UAE vs. Casa La Vista Ibiza

The final of The Queen’s Cup will take place on Sunday June 16
