On Wednesday, January 13, the second matchday of the Dubai Silver Cup was played at the Al Habtoor Polo Club, located on the outskirts of the impressive city of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. It is worth noting that in this edition—the 16th of the tournament—five organizations with up to a 20-goal handicap are competing. In the preliminary stage, all teams must play four matches, and the two highest-ranked teams in the standings will advance to the final, which will be played on Saturday, January 24.

In the opening match of the day, UAE bounced back from its first appearance in the tournament (which ended in a loss to Habtoor) and defeated Bangash 11–10 in a closely contested match. Bangash had won its previous game against Dubai Wolves. To close out the day, Jehangiri took to the club’s main field but was unable to deliver its best performance, as it was overcome by Dubai Wolves, led by an outstanding Félix Esain, who guided his team to a 7–6 victory.
