The Emirates International Polo Championship, kicked off on Tuesday January 20, at Ghantoot Racind & Polo Cub, set in the outskirts of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The competition sees eight teams up to 12-goals, partake, who will search for a spot in the final, due on Sunday February 1.
The opening day saw two contests. In the first match, Ghantoot beat Habtoor by a 6-4.5 score, following a very tough ana hard fought game. Meanwhile, El Basha, with Tomás Wilans as their flagship man, defeated Abu Dhabi 9-7.
