The 54th. International Polo Tournament, the most significant polo contest in Spain and hosted by Ayala Polo Club, in Sotogrande, commenced on Monday July 28. As usual, the competition will be held thoroghout August, and will feature all three levels of play – high goal, medium goal and low goal, and their respective cups, Bronze Cup, SIlver Cup and Gold Cup.

The opening day saw medium goal was in the morning, with medium goal (12-14), followed by high goal (22). These have been the results:

• Medium goal

Muda UZ 13-8 Santa Quiteria

• High goal

Amanara 11-9 Black Bears

Calatagan 13-12 Les Lions/Sainte Mesme

Low goal will make its debut on Wednesday July 29, with the following order of play:

Polo Valley vs Adrenalina/Dany’s Polo

Hartog vs La Capilla

Legacy vs La Martina
