The Open de France Barnes, the premier tournament of the lavish Polo Club du Domaine de Chantilly, set at La Ferme d’Apremont, close to Paris, is due to commence on Thursday September 4. The last of the big tournaments in Europe will see sixteen teams up to 16 goals, compete. Teams are split in four leagues.
The 2025 edition of the Open de France is very special, since the contest is celebrating a huge milestone – no less than a quarter of a century, 25 years of polo in the magnificient fields in Chantilly. In order to participate in the celebration, some of the most significant lineups will be taking part of the competition – among others, Talandracas (who recently claimed the Coupe d’Or in Deauville, for the second consecutive year); Sainte Mesme, Kazak, Télédou, Las Brisas, La Magdeleine, Brittany, Eternal J, Animales. The current defending champions, La Fija Sandbox, are not participating.
In addition, the 25th. Open de France will see a large pack of remarkable and skilled professional players and patrons, such as Francisco Elizalde (title holder with La Fija Sandbox, and a member of Kazak), su hermano, Manuel, Guillermo Caset, Pelon Stirling, Lucas James, Juan Martín y Simón Zavaleta, Jean- Edouard Mazery, Alexandre Garesse, Jean-Francois Decaux, Edouard y Hughes Carmignac, Marcos Araya, Matías Torres Zavaleta, Alejandro Muzzio, Clemente Zavaleta, Diego Cavanagh, Jerónimo del Carril, Rufino Merlos, Guillermo Terrera.
