The semifinals of the 60th. Jockey Club Open took place on Wednesday September 17, at the Jockey Club Open, located in San Isidro, Province of Buenos Aires. Scone and La Hache are through the championship match, following their wins against Kazak and La Hache, respectively.

Scone and Kazak clashed in the first contest. The former featured two changes in the lineup – Mia Cambiaso and Félix Esain subbed in for Poroto Cambiaso and Santino Zedda, respectively. But no matter the changes, Scone – with a remarkable performance delivered by Tomás Panelo, MVP of the match –  were strong enough to dominate their contender thoroghout the six chukkas of play and claim the 8-6 win against the French-based organisation, and secured the first ticket to the final. It’s worth to note that this is the second consecutive Jockey Club final for Scone, who last year lost to La Hache.

Precisely, title holders, La Hache met up with Pilot in the second semifinal. Pilot led all the way. Despite Hilario Ulloa and Co’s attempts to get closer in the score, the indomitable Jeta Castagnola – top scorer as well, he produced eight goals – was armed to the teeth to make life impossible for La Hache’s defense. At the end of the day, Pilot earned an impressive 13-9 victory and the second spot in the final. Therefore, Curtis Pilot and his boys are back in a Jockey Club Open decisive game, after six years – the last time, in 2019, they lifted the trophy.
