In a thrilling contest, Mustang claimed a 8-7 win over La Berta, and won the Trophée Bourbon, in the championship match that took place on Sunday May 18 at the Polo Club du Domaine de Chantilly, set in La Ferme de Apremont, in the outskirts of Paris, France. The tournament saw ten teams up to 12 goals, in participation.

The first part of the game was very leveled and open, with La Berta leading the first chukka by a tight 3-2. Mustang – with Lucie Venot subbing in for Francoise Okala – tied at 3-all in the second chukka, but La Berta re-gained the lead by half time. The story would change in the fourth chukka, when a determined Mustang, led by a remarkable performance delivered by Gastón Beguerie – who produced five out of the eight goals for his team – made an impressive comeback, that allowed Mustang to earn the victory and the title..
