Morocco earned a tight 5.5-4 win over Egypt, and won the 5th. Trophee International Mohammed VI de Polo, following the final that took place at Royal Guard Polo Club Rabat, located in Rabat, the capital city of Morocco, on Sunday May 25. The tournament, that pays tribute to King Mohammed VI of Morocco, attracted many countries to compete; the 2025 edition saw eight countries from Africa, Asia, America and Europe, in participation.

 

It’s worth to notice that Morocco and Egypt went head-go-head for the title in 2023, with the former victorious 10.5-8.

 

Morocco, who received half goal on handicap, was outscored by Egypt in the first chukka. However, from the second chukka onwards, Morocco seized the reins, and struggled to handle a tough contender, who remained on their tail thoroghout the five chukkas of play. At the end of the day, luck was on Morocco’s side, who won 5.5-4 and claimed their second title.
