The final of the prestigious Torneo Metropolitano de Alto Handicap took place on Tuesday October 14, at the Argentine Association of Polo Headquarters, in Pilar. One of the most significant tournaments of the spring season in Argentina saw twenty three teams up to 24 goals, in participation.
La Zeta and Alegria, who earned their spots in the final after beating La Dolfina Betania and La Fe/La Hache in semifinals, respectively, clashed for the title, in a close contest that ran for six chukkas. At the end of the day, Nicolás Pieres’ foursome beat Fred Mannix’s team by a narrow 10-9 score.
