The Qualification Tournament for the Copa Remonta and Veterinaria Cup, came to an end on Thursday October 23, with the last matches that took place at the Argentine Association of Polo Headquarters, in Pilar. Four teams had chances to play the most significant tournament in the world – La Zeta Kazak vs. La Aguada (League A), and La Dolfina II vs. La Irenita II (League B).
The unbeaten La Dolfina II and La Irenita (with a 2-1 record), played the opening game. The Cañuelas-based foursome got off to a better start, but the MacDonough’s family foursome bounced back slowly, until they reached a 7-all in the fifth chukka. The tie remained until the last chukka – at the end of the day, luck was on La DolfinaII’s side, and they will be able to play at Palermo.
Up next, in the clash of the unbeaten, La Zeta Kazak and La Aguada met up to decide League A. La Zeta Kazak’s Pelón Stirling produced the opening gol of the match, but La Aguada made a remarkable comeback, and claimed the lead. In a hard fought game, La Aguada managed to retain their advantage; but Pelón Stirling scored three unanswered goals with two minutes in the clock in the last chukka, and claimed the win that secured La Zeta Kazak the second spot in the Open.

League A: La Natividad La Dolfina, UAE, Los Machitos, Sol de Agosto, La Zeta Kazak
