On Wednesday November 13, the Argentine Polo Pony Breeders Association announced that Jorge Monsegou has been appointed as the new President. The former President of the Association, Santiago Ballester, who took the position in 2016, will remain as Vice President. It’s worth to notice that the Polo Pony Breeders Association has been established in 1984, and, among other significant achievements, they introduced the worldwide renowned Raza Polo Argentino.
Monsegou, known as “Coco”, in the polo community, holds a degree on on Agricultural Business Administration, has been a keen polo player and is the current President of Los Indios Polo Club, as well as one of the most renowned polo horse breeders. He has remained in the Association Board of Directors during Ballester’s term, as a Treasurer and a Secretary.
“I am very happy to continue as Vicepresident, alongside a brand new President who knows a great deal about management and administration, something that you can appreciate in his work as President of Los Indios PC”, said Santiago Ballester, in an interview. Meanwhile, Jorge Monsegou added: “I am ready to start working, and I want to thank to Santiago, not only for all these years working together, but also for remaining with me as Vice President. Santiago’s continuity is very important, because he knows everything about the Association”.
