Jindal Panther and Team X qualified to the final of the Jindal Polo Estate Cup, following the semifinals that took place on Saturday February 28, at Jindal Polo Estate, set in the large city of New Delhi, India. The tournament sees seven teams up to 4 goals in participation.
Jindal Panther and Dynamos – who received two goals on handicap – opened fire. The former quickly reached the lead, extending their advantage chukka after chukka, until earning a 12-7 win a the first spot in the decisive match.
Meanwhile, Team X and Mayfair Polo played the second semifinal; the former seized the reins from the start, reaching a commanding 4-0 lead at the end of the second chukka. However, Mayfair Polo managed to bounce back in the second half and tied within a few seconds in regulation time, sending the contest into OT. It was Shamsheer Ali who produced the winning goal, to seal the 7-6 victory for Team X.
Jindal Panther and Team X are due to play the final on Tuesday March 3.
