The Polo Rider Cup continued with three matches on Friday, June 11, at Polo Club du Domaine de Chantilly. Deauville Int. Polo Club, Las Brisas and Evviva Polo Saint Moritz all claimed wins. The latter came back to defeat Dos Lunas in extra chukka after trailing by five goals.
The tournament, which runs from June 10 – 20, sees twelve teams, up to 12 goals, compete. It is supported by the Federation International of Polo (FIP).
The Polo Rider Cup represents a new concept in the sport. The original idea was to bring clubs from Europe together, but it morphed into an international competition, welcoming clubs from Asia and America, among others. It is now a world championship for polo clubs, showcasing the sport on an international level.
