The Hublot Polo Gold Cup Gstaad, one of the most significant polo contest of the European season, is getting ready to run through Thursday August 21 to Sunday August 24. As usual, the competition will be played at the Polo Club Gstaad, in Gstaad, Switzerland, sorrounded by the stunning beauty of the Swiss Alps, on the impeccable grounds set in the Gstaad/Saanen airfields, that provides a magnificient scenartio for a unique competition.
The contest will see four teams up to 14 goals, in participation, who will compete for the coveted trophy up to, and, like every year, the members of the winning team will be presented with the fabulous Hublot watches. Many people is expected in attendance, not only to watch great polo, but also they to enjoy the facilities in an enchanting entourage. Polo Club Gstaad will welcome families and friends on free admission, exquisite catering and gastronomy provided by Gstaad Palace, access to the prestige village. Without doubts, Gstaad have everything set and ready to offer a unique event and an unforgettable experience. Meanwhile, Friday August 22 will see the colorful teams parade through the lovely streets of the beautiful Swiss village.
Among the players who will participate of the tournament, is Juan Pepa, who will be playing in Gstaad for the first time since 2016; Juan claimed a remarkable achievement in 2017, when he won the Coupe d’Argent and the Coupe d’Or, in Deauville, as well as Roland Garros, in Chantilly, and the final of the final of the 2024 Queen’s Cup, all of them with his team, Cibao La Pampa, a name with a vast history in polo – Cibao La Pampla was the big name of the season in Deauville, led by the renowned playboy, diplomatic and polo player, Porfirio Rubirosa, back in the 1950s. The Swiss brothers, Fabio and Luca Maier, who were runner up last year, and Germany’s Dr. Jurgen Schoder, runner up in 2022, will be back in Gstaad, as well as businessman Markus Graff. The four teams due to take part of the tournaments are Hublot, Gstaad Palace, Albinati Aeronautics and Kielder Agro Group.
As usual, glamour and sport will be the next combination next August, in a dreamy spot like Gstaad, in the middle of the Swiss Alps.
