Dubai Wolves defeated UAE 11-8 and won the seventeeth edition of the Dubai Gold Cup, the most significant polo competition in the Middle East, and the highlight of the Dubai Polo Gold Cup Series. The championship match took place on Saturday February 14, at Al Habtoor Resort & Polo Club, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The tournament saw six teams up to 20 goals, partake.

It’s worth to remember that Dubai Wolves and UAE already met in the league stage, with the former victorious. However, in the final – a rematch of that game – things were no different. Habtoor Al Habtoor and Co managed to dominate the game and the scoreboard, led by their key players, Santiago Laborde and Felix Esain. Their remarkable performance allowed Dubai Wolves to step into the fifth and last chukka with an impressive four goal advantage, that left everything sealed and done – at the end of the day, Dubai Wolves earned their first Dubai Gold Cup ever, following a 11-8 win.
