While the US season is currently coming to an end, with the US Open quarter finals due this weekend, polo in England is around the corner. In less than a month, the always competitive English season will kick off, and teams are still setting their lineups up, as the the remaining spots are limited.

The 18-goal will see eighteen teams, partake, while nineteen lineups are eligible to play the 22-goal; and although some of them won’t compete in all the tournaments, the season promises to be as strong as ever. In addition, it’s worth noting that Ferne Park is the only organisation that will present the same foursome as in 2024, The remaining teams have changed; moreover, some of them will showcase brand new lineups.

The upcoming season in England brings many news. With regards to high goal, three teams will make their debut this year – Calatagan, already with a successful high goal season in Sotogrande in 2024 under their belts, as the champions of the Bronze Cup and Gold Cup; Jehangiri, the last runner up of the Dubai Gold Cup; and Kazak, Sébastien Aguettant’s renowned organisation in France, with a strong presence in Spain and Argentina, as well.

David Paradice’s Scone, the biggest suprise of 2019, when they won the Queen’s Cup in their debut year, will be back after a year’s absence under the name La Dolfina Scone; Alejandro Aznar’s Marqués de Riscal, hired Poroto Cambiaso; Aurus will feature the Panelo brothers, both at their top of the game. Dubai has brought in Hazel Jackson, the only female professional player, who will compete in high goal.
