After five months plenty of tournaments, the 2025 season in Sotogrande, hosted by Ayala Polo Club, came to an end on Sunday September 14, with the championship match of the Copa Despedida, a competition that saw five teams up to 8 goals.
Cortez Polo and the recent runner up of the Abierto Aznar, John Smith, played the final, with the former receiving half a goal on handicap. However, Cortez Polo managed to close the gap, and take the lead in the second chukka. From then on, the match belonged to Cortez Polo, who at the end of the day, they claimed a 9-6.5 victory.
