The AlUla Desert Polo is kicking off a new edition in the mysterious desert of Saudi Arabia. One of the players traveling for the first time to experience this unique event is Alejandro Poma. The Salvadoran is competing in the tournament for the first time after receiving a formal invitation from Adolfo Cambiaso to join him. It is worth remembering that Alejandro and Adolfo—winner of both the C.V. Whitney and the US Open in 2025—will once again share the field.

After the first day of practice on the sand field, Alejandro spoke with Pololine and shared what impressed him most about the city, his relationship with Adolfo Cambiaso, and his expectations for the 2026 Gauntlet of Polo season, where they will compete side by side again, aiming to repeat history.
