Epona defeated Octogone by an impressive 16-10, and ran out the champions of the second stage of the Argentina Polo Tour, that was hosted by La Dolfina Polo Club, set in Cañuelas, Province of Buenos Aires. The contest played at Adolfo Cambiaso’s home, one of the most significant polo clubs worldwide, saw ten teams up to 16 goals, in competition, and the final took place on Sunday March 15. It’s worth to notice that Epona and Octogone reached the final undefeated.
Epona had a better start and managed to stay one goal ahead thoroghout the two first chukkas; however, by half time, Octogone made a comeback and by half time they were tied at 8-all. But the second half saw a determined Epona, led by their most remarkable man, Tomás Delfino, who led the actions, that sent his team to the 16-10 win and the title.
The next leg of the Argentina Polo Tour will take place at Centauros, with two simultaneous tournaments – one for teams up to 16 goals, and another for teams up to 20 goals.
