The fnal of the Sunjay Kapur Memrial Cup took place on Monday March 9, at Jindal Polo Estate, set in the outskirts of the magnificient New Delhi, in India. The second competition of the spring season of Naveen Jindal’s Club is a tribute to Sunjay Kapur, the former patron of Aureus, who sadly passed away in 2025, while playing the subsidiary semifinals of the Queen’s Cup, at Guards Polo Club, in England.
The contest saw eight teams up to 4 goals, in participation, and like in the previous tournament, the Jindal Estate Cup, Team X and Jindal Panther played the decisive match, however with different players.
Jindal Panther claimed the two first chukkas, earning a comfortable four goal advantage, which seemed impossible to overcome. But Team X managed to bounce back through the remarkable skills of Shamsheer Ali and Phil Seller. With only one minute left, Team X already were two goals up, enough to seize the reins and secure the win and the second title of the spring season.
