Following five days of intense competition, the 25th. Open de France Barnes, that is underway at the Polo Club du Domaine de Chantilly, set in La Ferme d’Apremont, thirty minutes away from Paris, is still open with regards to the way to the quarter finals, with all teams not yet through. The most important tournament in France sees sixteen teams up to 16 goals, partake. Teams are split in four leagues.

 

These are the results of the matches played through Monday September 8 and Tuesday September 9:

  • MONDAY SEPTEMBER 8

La Magdeine 12-8 Brittany

Animales 11-9 Sainte Mesme

  • TUESDAY SEPTIEMBER 9

Octogone 10-9 Clinova

Jolly Roger 10-0 Eternal J

 

It’s worth to notice that, with only one league matchdate left to decide the lineups that will qualify to quarter finals, all are open to possibilities, either qualify directly or through penalty shootut. Kazak, Octogone, La Magdeleine and Talandracas (League A, B, C and D, respectively) are undefeated. Even so, La Magdeleine need to defeat Sainte Mesme in order to avoid a shootout. Robert Strom’s team as well as Animales are obliged to win to go into a penalty shootout. With regards to League D, it is more likely that will be decided on penalty shootout.

 

The last league games of the 25th. Open de France Barnes will take place through Wednesday September 10 and Thursday September 11, with the following order of play:

  • Wednesday September 10:

1pm: Télédou vs. Kazak

1pm: Battistoni vs. Las Brisas

5pm: Talandracas vs. Jolly Roger // Eternal J vs. Essso

  • Thursday September 11:

11am: Octogone vs. La Esperanza

2,30pm: La Berta vs. Clinova

3pm: Sainte Mesme vs. La Magdeleine

5,30pm: Brittany vs. Animales
