The much anticipated championship match of the British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup is due on Sunday July 20, at Cowdray Park Polo Club, in Midhurst, West Sussex. Kazak and La Dolfina Scone are the two organisations who are set to play one of the most remarkable tournaments of the international polo calendar, for the first time ever.

PoloLine met up with Kazak’s Nicolás Pieres, prior to the decisive match, and the most important one up-to-date for the French organisation. Among other issues, Gonzalo Pieres’ youngest son spoke about the process that brought Ellerstina and Kazak together, what does it mean for him to play this final again (he won the British Open in 2021, with Thai Polo), the future and his wish to play with his son, Félix.
