UAE Polo’s growth and improvement as an organisation both in mixed and ladies polo is truly remarkable. The last achievement by HH Sheikha Maitha’s team was to win the title of the British Ladies Open Championship for the second consecutive year, after beating the former title holders, King Power, in the final that took place on Saturday July 19, at Cowdray Park Polo Club, with the champions led by the formibable skills of the English 10-goaler, Hazel Jackson.

Hazel, who claimed the Women’s Argentine Open last year, played the high goal season in England, as well, with Dubai. At 35, she is one of the strongest, most determined player in both ladies and mixed polo, earning more and more confidence every day.

Following the final of the most significant ladies tournament in England, Hazel spoke to PoloLine. Among other issues, she talked about the importance of having the support of Jacinto Crotto, the Monteverde family and HH Sheikha Maitha’s within the organisation.
