The Open de France Barnes is the most significant polo tournament in France, as well as the highest rated. The competition always sees some of the most renowned players in the world, those who usually play the Triple Crown in Argentina. And 2025 was no exception – Fran Elizalde, Sapo Caset and Pelon Stirling are among them, split in different teams.

Uruguay’s pride and joy, Pelon Stirling, who claimed the Argentine Open with La Dolfina on several occasions, is playing with Octogone; the foursome already made their debut in the Open de France, and beat La Berta. Octogone’s patron, Alexis Morange, spoke to PoloLine, about the feelings to play this tournament as well as his aims for his organisation in the future.
