The British Open Gold Cup, one of the most prestigious polo trophies in the world, resumed at Cowdray Park Polo Club on Tuesday with the penultimate matches of the qualification stage.

First, VS King Power, an organisation that claimed the Gold Cup title from 2015-2017, beat La Bamba de Areco to qualify for the quarterfinals. Next, Dubai defeated Monterosso to claim their third win in the competition.

Ten 22-goal teams are participating in this year’s Gold Cup. The group stages will come to an end on Wednesday; quarterfinals will be played over the weekend.
