Action for the Coupe d'Or at Deauville Polo Club, continued on Saturday, following the rain delay on Friday. The feature match had Talandracas and Varlion Blackstorm. Talandracas took an early 3-2 lead in the first chukker. But after a very balanced seven minutes, Edouard Carmingac's team took a considerable advantage in the second period. Four goals courtesy of Agustin García Grossi (2), Milo Fernández Araujo and Chris Mackenzie put them 7-3 ahead. Varlion Blackstorm scored a single goal, through Clemente Zavaleta Jr. A great offensive work by Talandracas in the third chukker, made things for Varlion Blackstorm quite a bit difficult in the third chukker, despite their efforts to come closer in the scoreboard, mostly supported by the goals of their best player, Clemente Zavaleta Jr., who also had his day when it came to convert penalties. Following a 9-4 lead by half time, Talandracas dominated the score and the match in the fourth chukker, with a comfortable 10-6 advantage, despite the fact that Varlion Blackstorm scored two goals (two penalty conversions by Zavaleta). Varlion Blackstorm made a comeback in the fifth chukker, and cut the margin to two goals through a 30-yards penalty converstion by Zavaleta and two field goals by Darío Musso and Tito Ruiz Guiñazu. With Agustin Garcia Grossi's single goal for Talandracas, Carmignac and his boys were leading by two - 11-9 with only seven minutes remaining. In the sixth chukker, Varlion Blackstorm put pressure to try to get a tie and force an over time at least. But Talandracas tightened their defense, and added two more goals, by Chris Mackenzie. Zavaleta then converted another 30-yards penalty, but time was not on Varlio Blackstorm's side. It was a very important win for Talandracas, that led also to the day's trophy, the Sidney Belisha Cup. The Coupe d'Or will continue on Sunday, when Royal Barriere meets Richard Mille. Score Talandracas: 3-2, 7-3, 9-4, 10-6, 11-9, 13-10
