The great summer weather continues in Deauville, as the prestigious Coupe d'Or continues, in the second day of action that featured title holders, Royal Barriere and Talandracas. It was a bit hard for Andre Fabre's team at first; led by Milo Fernández Araujo, Talandracas had a stronger start, as they took the two first two chukkers, by 3-2 and 4-3, respectively, with goals by Milo Fernández Araujo, Agustin García Grossi and Chris Mackenzie, for Talandracas and Pancho Bensadon and Facundo Sola for Royal Barriere. Pancho Bensadon and Facundo Sola scored one goal apiece to give Royal Barriere a short lived 5-4 lead in the third chukker. Before entering half time, Milo Fernández Araujo leveled the scores at 5-all. A single goal by Pancho Bensadon in the fourth chukker allowed Royal Barriere to go to the ponylines with a 6-5 lead. But then, Chris Mackenzie scored twice in the next period, which meant that Talandracas had a 7-6 lead. However, by the end of the chukker, the scoreboard read 7-all, thanks to a goal by Pancho Bensadon. Royal Barriere and Talandracas entered the last seven minutes to play what was expected to be a very close chukker. Talandracas hit first, through Juan Agustin García Grossi, but there was Royal Barriere, to show everyone why they are the current champions: three unanswered goals courtesy by the three professional players - Bensadon, Sola and Ambroggio - decided the result in favour of Andre Fabre and his boys. It was tough at first, but they finally got it; 10-8 and a winning debut for Royal Barriere. The Coupe d'Or will resume on Friday, with the match between Richard Mille and Royal Barriere. Score Royal Barriere: 2-3, 3-4, 5-5, 6-5, 7-7, 10-8
