The Open de France, the tournament that marks the end of the high and medium goal season in Europe, came to an end on Sunday at Chantilly Polo Club. A total of 6 teams up to 16 goals took part in the event.

The final was very even, it was an open match with a great level of polo - one of the best matches of the whole 2017 European season. The players demonstrated good behaviour throughout - they didn’t talk to the umpires and concentrated on playing. The final was very attractive and intense, only decided in extra chukker. It was then that Cibao La Pampa claimed the title after a goal by Carlos Ulloa. This gave the Pepa's team the 16-goal French Triple Crown (Coupe d’Argent and d’Or in Deauville & Open de France in Chantilly). They also won the Polo Masters/Open de Gassin in Saint Tropez - a perfect season.
