By Ron Allen Two of the most exciting polo matches of the 2012 high goal season at International Polo Club Palm Beach were presented "live" on line Wednesday to a worldwide audience of thousands of viewers. PoloLine.TV covered both games of the U.S. Open semi-finals as polo fans from around the United States, Argentina, the UK and dozens of other countries tuned in to watch. It was Lechuza Caracas against Valiente I in the opening match as the game was tied six times before the end of regulation play. Starting the 7th chukker it was 8 all until young Facundo Obregon drilled in the winning goal sending Lachuza into Sundays finals to defend their U.S. Open title. They will go up against an ever improving Zacara team who held off a late game comeback attempt by a talented ERG team. It was another Facundo who led his team to victory this time. Facundo Pieres scored 10 goals to help advance his team into the finals. ERG had tied the game with six minutes left but could not hang on as Zacara won 14-13. TV coverage of both matches was highlighted with live interviews between chukkers with professional polo players, celebrities and polo VIPs from the United States and Argentine polo associations.
